Lead with Diagnostic, not full engagement
Even though we believe the full Pioneer Operator engagement is right for Dr Max, we will not ask for that decision now. We will propose a 4–8 week paid Diagnostic that produces independently useful outputs and a recommendation on the larger engagement.
Why: asking for the year-long high-stakes commitment now is the wrong question. The right question is whether 4–8 weeks of bounded work would be useful.
